Enterprise Camera Calibration

Repairs the camera serial number after the camera module (lens) is replaced on an enterprise aircraft: it reads the cali, factory, and blackbox partition files exported from the device, automatically identifies the new camera's serial number, and generates a repair image. The output is a newly generated image file; the original partition files are not modified.

This feature is rolling out gradually. If you don't see it, contact support (181806465@qq.com).

Applicable Models

  • DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (Mavic 3E) with the legacy camera: camera serial numbers starting with 493 or 492. Both the wide-angle main camera and the 6x telephoto module are covered.
  • Newer cameras with serial numbers starting with 42U: use Camera Calibration instead.
  • Use this feature when the device reports errors or fails to recognize the camera after a camera module replacement.

Before You Start

  • The new camera module is installed and the device has been powered on once (so the device records the new camera).
  • The device was disassembled once and the following three partition files were exported in one session via Partition R/W:
    • cali partition (16 MB)
    • factory partition (8 MB)
    • blackbox partition (full dump)
  • All three files must come from the same device and the same read session.
  • Your account has Enterprise Camera Calibration access.

Steps

  1. Open Enterprise Camera Calibration.
  2. Select the three partition files: cali, factory, and blackbox.
  3. Click Identify. The software automatically identifies the camera serial numbers recorded on the device.
  4. Confirm the new serial number:
    • In most cases the software determines the new camera's serial number automatically — just verify it.
    • If multiple camera serial numbers were found in the device history, select the serial number of the currently installed camera from the list.
    • If nothing is identified, you can enter the new camera's serial number manually.
  5. Choose the output folder and click Generate to create the repair image.
  6. Write the generated repair image back to the device (using Partition R/W or another programmer), then restart the device to confirm.

Reading the Results

  • New repair image files are created in the output folder; the original partition files stay unchanged.
  • After the repair image is written back and the device restarts, it should recognize the new camera and the related errors should clear.

Notes

  • All three partitions are required and must come from the same device. Identification fails if the files are incomplete or mismatched.
  • After replacing the camera module, install it and power the drone on once before reading the partitions; otherwise you will be told that no usage record of a new camera module was found.
  • This feature only repairs camera serial number data; firmware issues are out of scope.

FAQ

"No usage record of a new camera module was found. If you just replaced a camera module, install it and power on the drone once, then identify again."

Follow the prompt: install the new camera module, power the drone on once, then read the partitions again and identify again.

"Multiple camera serial numbers were found in the device history. Select the serial number of the currently installed camera."

Select the serial number of the camera actually installed on the device, then continue.
