IMU Calibration

Runs IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) calibration on the connected device, for cases such as IMU errors or drift. This calibration writes to the device; power-cycle and retest when it finishes.

When to Use

• The device reports an IMU error or asks for calibration.
• Calibration after replacing the main board or related parts.

Before You Start

• Place the device on a flat, stable surface and do not touch it during calibration.
• The device is powered on, connected to the computer, and detected (see Connect a Device).
• Your account has IMU Calibration access.

Steps

1. After the device is detected, open IMU Calibration.
2. Click Run IMU Calibration and wait for it to finish, keeping the device still.
3. After calibration, power-cycle the device and check whether the error is gone.

Reading the Results

Whether calibration succeeded depends on the device's actual behavior: after it finishes, restart the device. If the original IMU error is gone, it succeeded. If the error persists, try once more. If it keeps failing, it may be a hardware problem — a repair is recommended.

Notes

• Keep the device still during calibration.
• You must power-cycle and retest after calibration. Without a power cycle, the old error may still be shown.

If Something Goes Wrong

• Power-cycle the device and retry once.
• Repeated failures: the IMU hardware may be faulty — a repair is recommended.
