Partition R/W

Reads and writes partition data on an external USB storage device (such as an EMMC/UFS reader-writer or a USB storage bridge device), for exporting and writing back images.

⚠️ This feature operates directly on disk partitions and is a write operation. Make sure you selected the correct target device and that important data is backed up.

When to Use

• Export image files from the device storage (for Camera Calibration, Vision Calibration, and TOF Depth Sensor Calibration).
• Write a newly fixed image back to the device storage.

Before You Start

• The target storage device is connected to the computer via USB and recognized by Windows as a physical disk.
• Your account has Partition R/W access.

Steps

1. Open Partition R/W. The software lists the external USB storage devices it detects.
2. Select the target device and review the partition layout.

Supported Range and Limits

This feature is not limited by aircraft model; compatibility depends on the reader-writer device and the storage medium:

• Reads the partition table and shows the whole disk, partition metadata, and each data partition.
• Supports exporting the whole disk, partition metadata, or selected data partitions.
• Only one data partition can be written at a time; the whole disk and the partition table itself are always read-only and cannot be written.
• The file being written can be smaller than the target partition; writing starts from the beginning of the partition.
• After writing, the software automatically reads back and verifies that the written content matches.
• The software refuses to write to the system disk, but this is not foolproof — always confirm you selected the target device before writing.

Notes

• Export and back up the original partition data before writing.
• Do not unplug the device during writing.

If Something Goes Wrong

• The device does not appear in the list: check whether Windows recognizes the USB storage device, and try a different reader-writer or USB port.
• Writing or verification fails: reconnect the device and retry.
